Week in Review 2/16-2/19

What a week it has been!

The fifth graders skied, (the spelling of that always looks so wrong...) we've continued to progress with fractions, the fourth graders learned about water distribution and tinkered with circuits. We received many excellent science experiments that have been on display all week. We earned not one, but TWO free recesses this week from everyone doing their homework! Overall, it's been a lovely week. We hope yours has been too.

Looking Ahead:
  • Next week is a full week. Yeehaw!
  • This Tuesday, February 23rd is the symphony field trip.
    • If your permission slip is not returned, you will stay at Marshall that morning.
    • We're leaving at about 8:45 and returning between 11:25-11:30
  • This Friday, February 26th is Birthday Friday! (We now have 55 kids in our class.)

Students of the Week 2/19

This week's students of the week are...Kyle and Zach! Kyle showed lots of guts up on the mountain on Tuesday. Skiing can be really hard (and scary) and he had a great attitude the whole day!  Zach was nominated for helping a classmate. He is excellent at staying on task which makes him a great partner to work with. Congrats, gentlemen!

Students of the Week 2/11

Congratulations to last week's students of the week: AVI and OWEN! These kids are major participators in class and are experts at doing their very best work. Not only that, but they are also very kind to others and work very well in any group. Thanks, you two and way to go!

Students of the Week 2/5/16

Our two very deserving students of the week are......(drumroll)...Delisia and Michael B.! Delisia was nominated for student of the week because she is a kind podmate that is happy to be helpful and share with classmates. Michael, another incredibly positive kid, can almost always be found with a smile on his face. He is kind and works well with others. Congrats, Delisia and Michael! We're happy we know you!
