Week in Review 12/5-12/9

Never a dull week here at Marshall. Today we had our canned food drive parade, and our school compiled over 2,000 cans this year. Wow! Thanks for donating!

This week in academics:
  • We reviewed all of our multiplication skills and closed out the unit with a test.
  • We continued reading and discussion Sophia's War.
  • We took the math Synergy assessment.
  • 4th Graders engineered motion of a miniature boat using magnets.
  • We distinguished between features of predators from those of prey.
  • We identified animal adaptations such as camouflage, mimicry, mutualism, and chemical mechanisms.
  • We researched and created booklets describing warm blooded and cold blooded animals.
  • We classified animals.

Looking Ahead:
  • We will not have homework next week.
  • Book Bingo is Wednesday, 11/14 from 5:30-6:30 (We'll calculate totals for stickers on Tuesday.)
  • We hope to see you at either 11:30 or 1:30 on Thursday, 12/15 for our Revolutionary War movie premiere. (Invitations will be comin' at ya next week.)
Enjoy a lovely weekend!
Ms. Baker & Mr. Kasch
