Week in Review 1/25- 1/29

Hello Fisher Baker Families!

If there's been sneezing, sniffling, and fevering at your house like we've seen here at school, we hope you are on the mend and getting/ staying healthy! With a 5th grade ski trip on the horizon, science fair projects, Connect to School Day, and middle school applications, we're sure you're feeling the bustle as much as we are here. Here's the latest to make sure you've got it all straight.

This week in academics:

  • We learned and practiced order of operations (using PEMDAS)
  • We dipped our toes into algebra with algebraic patterns and rules
  • We finalized plans for your Science Fair Projects
    • We strongly recommend that students complete their experiments this weekend, so they can use next weekend to create their boards.
  • We met with a handful of parents at our Connect to School day aka APTT (Academic Parent Teacher Team.) Thanks for coming and continuing to support what we do here at Marshall!
Looking Ahead:
  • Middle school academy applications are due this Monday, February 1st.
    • Ms. Fisher and I have completed and sent in the teacher recommendation part of your application. You are responsible for making sure the rest of the application gets to the middle school.
  • All ski trip info and money is due back on this Wednesday, February 3rd.
  • Completed Science Fair Projects are due on Wednesday, February 10th.

We hope you all have a restful and enjoyable weekend together. See you next week!

Ms. Baker and Ms. Fisher
