This week in academics:
- We learned a shortcut for rounding.
- We practiced plotting and reading points on coordinate grids.
- We practiced writing an attention grabbing "hook" for personal narratives.
- We searched for answers to questions in informational text on our Revolutionary War Scavenger Hunts.
- We learned about the protests of the Sons of Liberty before the Revolutionary War.
- We learned how alcoves were formed by weathering and erosion in Walnut Canyon with Willowbend's Ms. C.
- We learned about the purposes of different types of graphs.
- We distinguished between inferences, observations, and predictions.
- We proved that the salt still exists in a solution even though you can't see it
Looking Ahead:- Next Friday, October 7th is the Mustang Gallop. Keep collecting pledges! The theme this year is Olympics, and our class is representing Peru. We'll talk Monday about potential costumes for the Gallop.
- Keep a lookout for Portfolio Conference sign ups! We'll be scheduling 5th graders for Friday, October 7th and Monday, October 10th and 4th graders for Tuesday and Wednesday, October 11th, and 12th.
- There will be no homework next week!
