This week's students of the week are...Sean, Aneeka, and Kaden C.!
Aneeka was nominated by a classmate for caring for someone when they were sad. Thanks for looking out for others, Aneeka!
Sean has earned the title this week because he has been super on top of his notes, his work, and class discussion. Thanks for doing such a great job joining in, Sean!
Kaden C. has been a great teammate to small groups and partners this week. He has stayed on task and helped others he's worked with by clearly explaining his thinking. Way to go, Kaden!

A Week in Review 11/14-11/18
Hey there, Fisher Baker Families! This week we welcomed Mr. Kasch into our Fisher / Baker family and back to Marshall from two years of retirement. We are thrilled to have this math, science, and book loving riddler in our room. We are so lucky have him and look forward to continuing to work together for the duration of Ms. Fisher's maternity leave. And no...there's no baby news yet... We'll be sure to make that happy announcement as soon as we hear anything!

- We discussed AR book requirements and talked about two assignments that are due on Friday, December 2nd.
This week in the Marshall Garden:
Today, John Taylor (JT) and the TerraBirds treated us to breakfast tacos made with potatoes and beans from our very own garden! It was so cool to see our efforts come full circle!

Students of the Week: 11/10/16
This week's students of the week are...Jaedan, Kaileigh, and Sophia! These three are shining examples of both kindness and excellent work ethic! During a lesson you'll most likely see these three with their hands in the air or their heads together collaborating with others. Thanks for setting such a great example to others in our class.

THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON MONDAY!
Ms. Baker and Ms. Fisher
Students of the Week 11/4/16
After struggling this week with untrustworthy behaviors of some students while in specials this week, we are happy to recognize these three students for showing that they are dependable and trustworthy. Thanks for leading by example, Jacob, Haylee, and Zach! We're glad you're in our class!
Week in Review 10/31-11/4
What a week it was! Some of our biggest highlights were our Walnut Canyon Field Trip and the fifth graders' Taiko performances. Luckily the weather held out for a great field trip and the fifth graders rocked their performances after lots of hard work.
This Week in Academics:
- We reviewed and finished out our Revolutionary War unit with a final test.
- We reviewed multiplication so far (arrays, groups of things, repeated addition)
- We learned properties of multiplication.
- We practiced listing factors of numbers.
- We began reading a new Revolutionary War themed book, Sophia's War.
- We learned about what too look for in a good book. (an appropriate reading level, meaty enough to last at least a couple of weeks, no "junk food" books.)
Looking Ahead:
- Monday will be the Thanksgiving luncheon at Marshall. Families are welcome! Our lunch is at 12:35
- Be on the lookout for the traveling folder this week. (Due back to class signed by Thursday!)
- There will be expert's homework next week Monday night and Tuesday night only.
- This Tuesday (unless the baby comes sooner) will be Ms. Fisher's last day at Marshall for a little while. We will miss her, but are excited to welcome Mr. Kasch in her stead during her maternity leave. See you in late February, Ms. Fisher!
- NO SCHOOL this Friday, November 11th, for Veteran's Day.
Have a great rest of your weekend together!
Ms. Baker and Ms. Fisher
