Week in Review 9/15/17

We've had a productive week over here at Marshall. Since we started a new homework routine with expert's, we've noticed many kids having trouble with taking responsibility with any homework they haven't finished during study hall. Next week we'll do less as a class, and have students begin working together and more independently on expert's. Students can check their agendas and the directions on the expert's paper for what to do if they forget.

This Week in Academics:

  • We began our expert's homework routine.
  • We practiced planning and writing paragraphs using evidence from Hatchet.
  • We began a unit on geography and landforms
  • We learned about standard units of measure
  • We practiced comparing and ordering numbers by lining up their place values.
Looking Ahead:
  • Next week, we will have another round of expert's homework.
  • Picture Day is Thursday, September 21st. You can order prints online.
  • PTO is looking for volunteers to help with picture day
    • 9:00am-2:30 on Thursday September 21st.
    • Email our awesome PTO to let them know if you can help for a half or full day.
    • evamarshallelementarypto@gmail.com
We hope you enjoy warm days and cool nights this weekend as we creep towards official fall!
